DeliveryX Returns Report 2024

Returns have always been a part of retail, but with the growth of ecommerce there has been a sharp increase.

This in turn has resulted in a range of challenges for retailers, brands and their carrier partners.

The issues surrounding returns have been put into sharp focus in the past few years, in 2023 DeliveryX looked at how ease of returns is key to consumers, and what retailers were doing to ensure a smooth returns process.

The 2024 report will look at how returns are, more than ever, inevitable but manageable. It will harness ConsumerX research to see how charging for returns has impacted customer loyalty. Advancing technology will be put under a spotlight, both for minimising returns and limiting the environmental impact of reverse logistics.

Inside the report:

  • What consumers think about return fees
  • Why data could be key to minimising the impact of returns on retailers
  • Is repair and recommerce a future solution?
  • An exclusive retailer interview with Currys, on how the technology retailer’s repair offering fits into its wider sustainability efforts
  • Two retailer case studies: H&M and Oh Polly
